ONGC, Mumbai wanted to update and digitize the As-built P&IDs for 4 offshore platforms of Mumbai High South Field, viz. BHS, SCA, IC & SH in PDS-2D software of Intergraph Corporation, USA. ONGC also desired to attach critical information such as Equipment Specifications, Process Datasheets, etc to each of the items in the Intelligent P&IDs and incorporate facility of extraction of Reports such as Line List, Equipment List, Valve MTO, and Instrument List directly from Intelligent P&IDs.

LTC was responsible for updating P&IDs (more than 600 P&IDs) to As-built status (via site visits) and digitizing the As-built P&IDs to Intelligent P&IDs in line with above objectives. Although this was only P&ID development activity, LTC received lot of exposure to Off-shore operation, layout and other engineering aspects while collecting data from site as interaction with ONGC Personnel as this was LTC’s first experience with off-shore Platforms.
