Process simulation forms the foundation for process plant performance. LTC has been carrying out process simulation for Oil & Gas applications using leading software packages such as HYSIM, PRO-II, ASPEN Simulators, etc

LTC understands the significance of HSE and Design reviews in Detailed Engineering stage of the Project and accords prime importance to safety design aspects. Based on process plant complexity and Project requirements, various safety studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, SIL study, etc are conducted at various stages during the course of engineering. The output/ recommendations of the HSE and other safety studies are incorporated in all design documents so that safety is ensured at all times.

Some of the safety studies implemented by LTC in its Projects are as under

LTC Plant and Piping Engineering has the capability to perform advanced engineering activities / studies like AIV (Acoustic Induced Vibration) study, Integrated analysis and Mechanical Handling Study. AIV study is performed, to ensure vibration generated in the piping system are within allowable limits - recommended by the codes and standards. Integrated analysis provides the effect of structure and equipment on the piping system. Mechanical study bridges the gap between designer and site maintenance personnel, by providing maintenance details considered during engineering phase.

LTC Instrumentation group performs the studies like Safety Integrity Level studies (SIL assessment, SIL verification) Alarm management or alarm rationalisation study, Foundation fieldbus feasibility study, fieldbus engineering including segment design and verification, Integrated telecom engineering, support for advance design engineering solutions like Advance Process Control Systems (APC) and Operator Training Simulator (OTS).

Apart from standard system study calculation such as Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor start-up studies & Relay Co-ordination, LTC also has the capability of carrying out advance special studies such as Insulation Co-ordination, Transient Analysis of Power Distribution network, Harmonic Analysis & EMC study as per Shell Guidelines.
